Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is offered as a 2 day full course, or a 1 day renewal. The 2 days of ACLS are divided into 4 parts, as outlined here. (Scroll down this page to determine what you need to attend):
ACLS - Day 1 (ACLS parts 1 & 2) ACLS - Day 2 (ACLS parts 3 & 4)
ACLS Part 1 - 8:00am-12:00noon ACLS Part 3 - 8:00am-12:00noon
ACLS Part 2 - 1:00pm-5:00pm ACLS Part 4 - 1:00pm-5:00pm
Use these guidelines in determining which ACLS class is appropriate ro register for:
ACLS Initial Certification (or card expired more than a year) - 2 days, 16 hours total, attend ACLS class parts 1, 2, 3, 4, course fee $175
Attend: Day 1: 8am-5pm Day 2: 8am-5pm
ACLS - Recently Expired Recertification (card expired less than one year) - 2 days, 12 hours total, attend ACLS class parts 2, 3, 4, course fee $160
Attend: Day 1: 1pm-5pm Day 2: 8am-5pm (Attend parts 2, 3, 4)
ACLS Renewal / Update (card not yet expired) - 1 day, 8 hours total, attend ACLS class parts 3, 4, course fee $110
Attend: Day 1: ----N/A---- Day 2: 8am-5pm (Attend parts 3, 4)
(Renewals attend day 2 only)
ECG & Pharmacology course only (same class as ACLS part 1, but may be taken alone, independently rather than with ACLS) – 1 day, 4 hours, course fee $65
Attend: Day 1: 8am-12pm Day 2: ----N/A---- (Attend part 1 only)
*PLEASE NOTE:
Basic EKG rhythm interpretation is taught only in ACLS part 1 (day one, 8am-12pm)
ACLS parts 2, 3, and 4 all expect students to be able to identify basic arrythmias, prior to class. ACLS will be very difficult to pass without basic rhythm recognition skills
Anyone who needs to learn, brush up on, and have extra practice with rhythm reading is welcome to attend the full course (even if you only need to do the renewal / update course)
We also offer ACLS part 1 separately - called "Basic EKG Rhythm Interpretation & Pharmacology", if you wish to take only that part. Students who attend only the ACLS part 1 (EKG & Pharm) will be issued a certificate of completion of AHA's "ECG & Pharmacology" course
